I’m Mia Vehkaoja. I live in Espoo, Finland. I’m a post doc researcher at the University of Helsinki. I did my Master’s in biology. The subject of my doctoral thesis was “Beaver in the drainage basin: use of an ecosystem engineer in ecosystem restoration”. The thesis dealed with beaver’s effects on boreal ecosystems.

My main interests are wetland ecology, wildlife, frogs, Caliciales and liverworts.
